For those who know me well, know that I can always be found at the beach. Miami is one of those cities that people travel to for “fun in the sun” and is almost synonymous with the beach. To be honest, even us locals kind of shut down when it rains because it seems like all of our activities revolve around being outside and drinking in the beautiful views that reflect from the ocean water.
While all of these things are the highlights of endless weekends, I have discovered many forms of entertainment when being outside doesn’t seem possible. These are places I genuinely go to (even when being outside IS an option). Try them out and let me know what you guys think!
CMX Cinemas is a luxurious movie theater where you can order your food and drinks (cocktails included) even before you get there. The comfy seats, blanket, and complimentary popcorn are just a few reasons why this is a MUST. Also, you can lounge and have some drinks in the bar and restaurant before or after the movie.
One of my personal favorites, is Aventura Mall! This is one of the top shopping center in the US and includes countless shopping options, crave-worthy dining choices, bars, and an AMC theater. Aventura Mall is an experience, not just a mall and is great even if you don’t want to go shopping. For those who do want to shop (ME!), Aventura Mall is supercharged with top fashion designer brands. This is another option that has something for everyone!
Bowling, ice skating, and dancing all in one? Yes, Basement Miami has all three. Located in the chic Miami Beach EDITION hotel, this is a one of a kind place that allows you to choose what you want to do, when you want to do it. Basement is an adult place with a playful atmosphere where you can create your own vibe.
Phillip and Patricia Frost Museum of Science
Having opened there doors last month, the Frost Museum has become a highlight for Miami. Whether you are in to science or not, this museum escapes conformity by providing a variety of experiences for everyone. Frost displays an array of shows and exhibits in and out of the planetarium and aquarium. This is a great place to go with or without kids!
Perez Art Museum Miami is an oceanfront (but indoors) museum that features a huge selection of artwork. It always has different events that include happy hours and special exhibits. VERDE is a great dining destination at the museum and is both indoors and outdoors as well!
The Standard Spa is located in one of my favorite hotels in Miami – The Standard. Allowing for the perfect balance of its holistic nature and beauty treatments, this spa has a full scope of services and options. With it’s amazing service and amenities, I would definitely suggest this be on top of your list of places to visit with or without the rain!

Todos los que me conocen bien saben que soy amante de la playa. Miami es una de esas ciudades que a la gente le encanta venir y disfrutar del sol y de todas las actividades que giran alrededor de estar afuera. Por eso, cuando llueve, mucha gente no sabe que hacer! jaja
Les quiero compartir una lista de cosas que se pueden hacer que no son afuera y que se pueden disfrutar cuando esta lloviendo. Espero que vayan y me cuenten que tal! Xoxo
CMX Cinemas es una sala de cine de lujo donde incluso puedes pedir tu comida y bebidas (cocteles incluidos) antes de llegar y disfrutar cuando empiece la película. Los asientos son super comidos y te dan una cobija para poder acurrucar te a gusto. Ademas, también puedes tomarte un drink o picar algo en el bar sin ver ninguna película!
Por supuesto uno de mis lugares favoritos para ir con o sin lluvia es el mall de Aventura. Este es uno de los centros comerciales mas importantes de los Estados Unidos e incluye muchísimas opciones de tiendas, restaurantes, bares y un cine. Aventura Mall no solo es para los que quieren ir de shopping porque hay de todo. Para los que si quieren ir de compras, Aventura Mall tiene tiendas de los mejores diseñadores y una variedad única!
Basement Miami esta ubicado en el Miami Beach EDITION hotel y tiene una combinación de boliche, patinaje de hielo y antro. Esta muy padre porque te da la oportunidad de hacer muchas cosas en un una noche. Es un lugar para adultos con un ambiente divertido donde tu puedes crear tu propio ambiente!
Phillip and Patricia Frost Museum of Science
Este museo abrió sus puertas el mes pasado y se ha convertido en un lugar culminante para Miami . Da igual si te gusta la ciencia o no porque hay muchas cosas que hacer fuera de los espectáculos ye exposiciones del planetario y acuario. El “Frost Museum” es ideal para llevar a los niños!
El Perez Art Museum Miami es un museo frente al mar (pero adentro) que cuenta con una gran selección de obras de arte. Siempre tienen diferentes eventos que incluyen “happy hours” y exposiciones especiales. VERDE es el restaurante dentro del museo y es delicioso. Es toda una experiencia ir al PAMM y muy recomendado donde también puedes llevar a los niños!
El spa del Standard es mi favorito! Me encanta porque tiene un equilibrio perfecto entre la naturaleza holistic y tratamientos de belleza que están incluidos en todas las opciones que te ofrecen de servicios. El servicio buenísimo y el ambiente y decoración impecable!
